Better equipped for the future

Complex product structures and complicated processes within a highly manual system – that was the daily reality for the furniture company dk3 until they, with the help of TRIMIT, automated and optimized their processes. “It has made a huge difference for us,” says dk3.

Since 2009, the Danish furniture company dk3 has been producing exclusive designer furniture for customers both in Denmark and abroad. Over the years, the company has expanded significantly and now sells furniture to 30 countries worldwide. But as dk3 grew and gained more customers, the natural need to streamline and automate processes emerged, which their ERP system did not support.

“We have expanded significantly over the past few years, creating a greater need for automated processes. However, the system we previously had was highly manual. It couldn't contain all the data we wanted it to. This often complicated our workflows, leading us to manage a lot of data in Excel sheets alongside our system,” explains Loa Blok Egsgaard, Project- & System Manager at dk3.

Therefore, in 2022, dk3 decided to implement a new ERP system. When the company sought recommendations from colleagues in the furniture industry, most pointed towards the Danish-owned IT company TRIMIT. An Automated Everyday

TRIMIT's systems are specifically designed to support all processes within the value chain that characterize furniture and interior design companies. This was quickly realized by dk3 once the TRIMIT ERP system was in place.
“The implementation itself was quick and easy because TRIMIT has been there to assist us. One and a half years later, there's no doubt that the system has made a huge difference. In the furniture industry, there are thousands of variants and item numbers, and previously, we manually set up all our item numbers. Now, we have a configurator to organize everything,” explains Loa Blok Egsgaard, adding:

This is a major plus for us. Our everyday life has become much easier. Our data is consolidated in one place, and many processes have been automated. Everything is faster. Previously, we had to adapt to the system – now the system is adapted to us, and it has made us far more efficient.
